The application consists of an “Agreement” and must be accompanied by a proposed landscaping plan, a two-year maintenance schedule, and Proof of Liability Insurance.  Maintenance work can be performed by the applicant or by private contractor.

Upon approval by RIDOT, a two year contract will be executed between the parties.  Upon execution of the contract, work may commence.  RIDOT will inspect the project before completion and periodically thereafter to ensure the safety of the general motoring public.

Renewal of the Adopt -A- Spot is at the discretion of RIDOT, and will be considered 30 days prior to the conclusion of the existing contract.
